West Sutherland offers some of the most outstanding salmon and trout fishing in Scotland. Set amongst beautiful scenery there is something for everyone from the larger rivers to remote hill lochs. Hope, Strathmore and Polla Estate

The Tongue Angling Club boat on Loch Hope is available to book through Tongue Post Office.
The River Hope is currently available with Kinloch Lodge only.
The River Polla is available with Foulain Cottage. This let also includes a boat on Loch Hope

River Inver

River Kirkaig

Assynt Fly Fishing

Inverpolly Estate
Salmon and trout fishing is available throughout the Inverpolly Estate. Permits can be obtained at Inverpolly Lodge, Tel: 01854 622452.
River Garvie - 2 rods available on the right bank (looking downstream) at £15 per rod. Possibility of salmon and sea trout.Boats are available for Lochs Sionascaig, Lurgainn and Badagyle at a cost of £15. Engines are also available for £12, with lifejackets a further £2. Again, these are migratory systems.
The Polly and Black Lochs are available for both bank and boat fishing. Boats are priced at £12, bank fishing is £5. These lochs are fly only.
